New Grace Community School Calendar and Website

Grace Community School has a NEW website!

The new Grace Community School website!

If you haven’t already, do check it out. As always, our home on the web is www.gracecommunityschools.com. It’s colorful, friendly, and packed with useful information about our various classes, curriculum, and instructional programs. You can see what the week’s theme is on the home page. Find useful supply lists, the month’s lunch menu, the financial aid form, and other documents on the Downloads page. What’s my favorite part of the new site? The Grace Community School Calendar!

Grace Community School Calendar

The Grace Community School Calendar, on our new and improved website, is updated frequently with parties, dress-up days, special events, programs, photo days, and more!

Get directly to our calendar by clicking here. You can see at a glance the upcoming theme weeks, parties, special events, photo days, and more. While we do our best to keep our parents informed through our social media (also linked to on our site) and email list, the calendar is a new way to make sure you never miss a thing. You can even add it to your Google Calendar, iPhone, or other calendar software using the instructions on the calendar page. We think you’ll find it a great tool.

P. S. We’re now on Pinterest! Follow us for art project ideas, learning materials, recipes, kids activities, and a bunch more stuff. It’s fun!

Get More From Our Spring Programs!

This year is flying past! We have only a short while until our Jungle Jive! 2016 programs, starting May 21 with our Port Charlotte location. Get the full schedule here.

Programs are our biggest events of the year! The shows for our nine Grace Community School locations across three counties bring hundreds of students and thousands of parents, grandparents, relatives, and friends together to celebrate our students’ achievements. The kids can’t wait to show you all they have learned!

Graduation programs are even more special, featuring our pre-K and kindergarten graduation ceremonies and the first public performance of our new school song. Maps to the shows will be available soon at your GCS location’s office.

Grace Community School Social Media and Programs

The kids are ready for our programs! We are looking forward to the best shows ever, and maybe even an appearance by Gracie!
Do you love photos? We do, too! As we have done with previous shows, all our program photos will be available online via our various social media accounts. We will update our FacebookTwitter, and Instagram accounts throughout the shows so you can follow along. In addition, those of you on the Grace Community School email list will receive an email with links to the program photos for easy download and sharing. (Sign up for the email list here) Connect with us now so you’ll be ready, and we hope to see you at the shows!

How to Never Miss a Grace Community School Update

Stay informed: Don’t let your child miss any of the fun events at Grace Community School!

We stay busy here. There is always something new coming up: a party, a dress-up day, a new class (like our Art Classes, just started!), a yearbook deadline, a social media contest.

There’s a lot on your plate. Who can remember everything going on? We do our best to keep parents and grandparents informed about fun and/or important news, but we understand that how busy you are. Some of the main ways we keep parents informed are our signs in the office and in the hallway, notes by the sign-in/out computer, and notes on the kids’ papers. But sometimes things still fall by the wayside.

You can like us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter and Instagram. We are very active on social media. Still, things can get lost in a busy newsfeed. That’s why we have one other way to keep you informed: our email list!

We get it: you’re busy!

Many of you are already signed up for this, but if you’re not (or you want someone else to get updates, too), it’s easy: click here to access the sign-up form, fill out your information, and click “Subscribe to list.” That’s it! You’ll get an opt-in email from MailChimp. Click the link in the email, and you’re all set.

Here’s part of a recent email newsletter, chock full o’ updates!

In addition to more frequent updates as needed, once a month we publish the Grace Community School Email Newsletter that recaps what’s been going on with a roundup of useful links, photos, and videos, and information about cool stuff coming up. We just put out our April issue. (You can find it here if you want to get caught up!) Now you’re ready for what’s coming next at Grace Community School. Any questions? Leave a comment below or send us an email at email@gracecommunityschools.com We look forward to keeping you updated!

Our Christmas programs and gift exchange were extremely successful. You can find links to all our photo albums from the shows here, and for the gift exchange here. We had a couple thousand people come out for this year’s shows, and the crowds were enthusiastic! We couldn’t have done it without you. This has truly been a festive holiday season so far, and let us be sure to remember the reason for our joy:

“And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.” Luke 2:4-10

From our family to yours, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
