Our Grace Community School Song and Dance Week Performances!
This summer we continued our tradition of learning a special song and dance routine for Song and Dance Week, and the kids outdid themselves!
We chose a song most of the kids were familiar with, “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” from the Trolls movie. We worked hard every day during the week practicing our dance moves and recorded our videos on Friday. Here are the results — thanks for watching!
School Spirit Week was a big success! We showed our school spirit by wearing something special each day to school. Each of our locations took and posted photos for two of the days. Here are our photos!
Monday: Necktie Day (North Fort Myers, Port Charlotte, Fort Myers)
Tuesday: Hat Day (Lehigh Acres, Skyline, Golden Gate, Naples Park, Cape Coral Miramar)
Wednesday: Sunglasses Day (Bonita Springs, North Fort Myers, Cape Coral Miramar)
Thursday: Slipper Day (Port Charlotte, Skyline, Golden Gate)
Friday: Finale Day (Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, Bonita Springs, Naples Park
At Grace Community School, there is always something fun and educational going on. Around the World Week was especially fun — we made stops in Italy, Mexico, China, France, and Germany; we even sampled food from each different country!
International travel was fun, but it was good to come home.
At Grace Community School, we love photos, but sometimes a video is even better! One of the great things about living in the modern age is how easy it is to make videos. So we make a lot of them! We post frequently on our social media channels, but we put our best videos on the Grace Community School YouTube channel.
The Grace Community School YouTube channel is a great way for you to see more about our programs. We love making videos where our students are the stars!
From the Whale March to our Summer Camp water slides, you can see all the fun we have every day at Grace Community School.
And check out our reader videos. That’s right, Our Preschoolers Can Read!
If a picture is worth a thousand words, how many words is a video worth? You tell us! This Christmas we’ve got three special videos the children made for just you posted below. Merry Christmas, and may God bless you throughout 2017!
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
First, Gracie the Whale was able to make it out to our Naples Park and Golden Gate Christmas Celebration! programs this year, to the delight of everyone. These shows are so special we made a video to share with you some of the best moments from that weekend!
Second, while she couldn’t get to our other programs this time, Gracie the Whale visited all our other school locations. She sang Christmas songs with the children, gave out hugs and high fives, and spread holiday cheer. It was wonderful!
Finally, we had the kids say what was on all our minds: Merry Christmas to all of you! You are such a blessing to us, and we want to thank you for the opportunity to serve your families and the Southwest Florida community.
See you in 2017!

Check out our YouTube video playlist below. As you can tell, the kids did a great job learning our special song, Meghan Trainor’s “Better When I’m Dancin.”
We even did some glow in the dark dancing!
We have found that the best way to keep kids interested in learning is to make it fun! This is one reason why every week is a theme week at Grace Community School. Song and Dance Week is just one of almost thirty different exclusive theme weeks we have for our students. Every single week has its own activities, art projects, themed educational activities, and coloring papers. Many of these weeks also have dress-up and other participation days.
One question parents ask frequently is how they can keep up with all our planned activities. In addition to signs and notes in each location’s office and elsewhere, there are other resources to keep parents informed:
